Growing Our Reach
2024 saw tremendous growth and productivity for the WCDA. Some of the highlights include the following:
- ADVOCACY Committee focused on legislative efforts in CA and TX
- BEST PRACTICES Committee produced the Guide to Owner Advisors and began updating the Fixed-Price Design-Build Procurement Guide
- COMMUNICATIONS Committee enhanced its marketing efforts in support of all WCDA programming
- CONTRACTS Committee officially transitioned from a subcommittee to a standing committee
- EDUCATION Committee reached nearly 1,400 people through education sessions
- RESEARCH Committee embarked on a new research project focused on risk discipline
- We bid happy retirement to founding member and 10-year Executive Director Mark Alpert
